Official February Memos

Updates to our Revolt instance

Mariano Uvalle is our Revolt maintainer. You may reach the author at mariano@handmadecities.com

Hey everyone!

We’ve recently made some contributions to the web Revolt client:

  • Mobile reactions: You can now react to messages on mobile clients (website or PWA) by long pressing messages and clicking the “React” menu item.
  • “Reconnecting” bug on redeployments: The websocket reconnection logic is implemented as an FSM, and it had a bug that caused it to get stuck on a second attemtp, which is very likely to happen on redeployments.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to hard refresh or kill your app one last time, feel free to reply to this email and suggest features you’d like to see in the future.

Happy Friday,
Mariano.
