Dear Handmade folks,
Happy Spring! The last Saturday of the month is upon us, which means our monthly meetup takes center stage. RSVP your seat at the earliest opportunity!
Note: Our server admin Mariano fixed the Calendar bug! The RSVP system is now shiny and brand new.
The details:
We’re right next to Roosevelt’s Light Rail. We can’t miss it if we have Apple/Google maps:
- Where: One Bite Cafe (in Seattle)
- When: Saturday, March 28th, 2-4PM
- Parking: There is street parking around the block. However, the most reliable place to park is “Green Lake Park & Ride”

The entire shop is reserved for Handmade, so let’s order snacks and drinks to support this family business!
Saturday’s Presentations (2-4PM)
We start with community news from yours truly, followed by featured presentations. Time permitting, we wrap it all up with roundtable discussions.
Featured Presentation #1
Community regular Taylor Robbins needs no introduction!
At the last meetup Reuben showed us how zig build made a huge difference for Orca. However, might we EVER see an alternative to zig build which is just as compelling? Well, Taylor’s been cooking up one for several months now, and I think it’s healthy to see competition in this space.
Let’s keep it all shrouded in mystery to get you to join us.
Featured Presentation #2
How can you stay a (profitable) indie dev while getting contributors to your codebase? I’m pleased to announce I’ve enlisted some legitimate help for Terminal Click, so in this presentation we’ll offer a progress report on what that looks like.
Roundtable Discussion
By popular demand our roundtable will be off-the-cuff this month in particular. Sounds like there’s some pent up rage against our (ex-)employers and we need an outlet for venting or dark humor. That’s why I love that our events are sponsor-free :)
So if you’ve got burning questions for your fellow colleagues, or just a funny piece of gossip, go ahead and let it rip this Saturday.
Seattle After Dark (4-7PM) 🍕
As always, between 4:00 - 4:30PM we will wind down the official meetup and make our way to dinner and drinks. “After Dark” is optional, but during this time I moderate very little, which lets community members get spicier with their takes on our industry as a whole. It’s a hoot.
See you Saturday at 2PM,
Abner Coimbre
